Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Process Industrial Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

The Process Industrial Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes that drive operational excellence, product quality, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to establish standardized work practices, improve productivity, support automation initiatives, and enhance overall manufacturing performance. This person will also play a critical role in workforce training, process validation, and customer audit support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for PCBA and Final Assembly operations to ensure process consistency, product quality, and compliance with established manufacturing standards.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, increase throughput, optimize resource utilization, reduce waste, and lower operational costs using Lean Manufacturing principles and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish accurate labor standards, support capacity and manpower planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to production operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams on new or revised processes, SOPs, and best practices to ensure successful implementation and adherence.
  • Support automation projects by evaluating process improvement opportunities, assisting with equipment integration, and collaborating with engineering teams to implement solutions that improve productivity, quality, and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with production and quality teams to investigate process-related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve process stability and performance.
  • Support customer, regulatory, and internal audits by preparing Industrial Engineering documentation, responding to process-related inquiries, and driving corrective actions for audit findings as required.
  • Monitor and report key process performance metrics, recommending and implementing improvements to achieve operational goals.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • SOP Management: Ensure 100% of SOPs are updated, approved, and released prior to production-related process changes.
  • Process Improvement: Achieve a 3-5% reduction in cycle time and/or productivity improvement each quarter.
  • Training Effectiveness: Ensure 100% of affected production personnel are trained on new or revised SOPs within two weeks of release.
  • Standard Time Accuracy: Maintain labor standard accuracy within ±5% during audits and validation reviews.
  • Automation Support: Successfully contribute to a minimum of two automation or process enhancement projects annually.
  • Audit Performance: Achieve zero major audit findings related to Industrial Engineering processes and documentation.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting PCBA, electronics manufacturing, or final assembly operations is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of time and motion studies, work measurement, and labor standard development.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction methodologies.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems and digital tools such as MES, ERP, and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting platforms is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
